I actually was doing these for "the bride" to give as wedding favors. But they turned out so cute, I thought that I would share the idea and you could run with it.
Start with an ordinary, naked, Christmas ornament. Or bauble, if you will. Guess we should not say "ball" here. Oops. We don't need an naughty tutorial.
Using a foam stamp, generously inked with Staz-On...
...stamp on the letter. And it really is much more simple than you would think. The trick is to roll the stamp rather than to place it on flat.
Holding the stamp over the area you wish to place it in, starting with the top of the stamp, place it on the ornament and slowly roll it down ward, inking the letter onto the ball. Then, still holding the stamp onto the ball, gently rock it back and forth to get the entire impression of the letter on to the ornament. It may be a little smeared but that's ok. We will cover it with glitter next.
Now, take your preferred color of Stickles and starting at the top of the letter and pulling down, outline first one side of the letter, then the other, making a long continuous line each time. Once the letter is outlined, starting back at the top, fill in the space with more Stickles. To fill in, I use a dotting motion.
Till it looks like this.
Usually I let them dry over night and then fill in any inked spaces that need to be filled in.
You can even spell out a name or put a saying on the back, or add little details as will with a paint decor pen.
I think these, well not these particular ones, cause they are for the wedding, lol. But I think this idea is perfect for place cards, with a single letter on each ornament at each place setting. Or a cute package tie on or just a complete box makes a beautiful hostess gift. Endless possibilities. And fairly inexpensive.
I hope that gives you some great ideas. Thanks for stopping by.
