...to be cranky! Or maybe its just me?
I've been painting my fingers to the bone (ok, mmmmaybe just a mild exagg there), to get ready for a small, but super fun, trunk show at work.
And in many ways, it always feels good to come back to my first love, that would be painting, ahem.
This time, seems like I have been away for a very long time, as I'm so rusty, but like riding a bike, it does come back to ya.
Scattered across the old Studio table are several of these paper mache' ornies, as well as, canvases, letters and more, all waiting for a touch of the old brush.
And next week I'm going to give you a quick and easy tut on how to easily paint on of these baby's yourself. I love em for package tie ons. Its cute and its like an extra little gift in itself.
I did a little canvas for a friend's new baby. It was so much fun, I hope to do more.
I'm so inspired by this gal! And while I have a REALLY, REALLY long way to go before I can ever attain (if ever) her level of skill and cuteness, I was proud of myself for giving it a try! Kim makes it look easy, but really, for me, not so much! LOL.
And speaking of color....did I tell you? I went RED!!!
Sorry no makeup on...a bit scary. What was really scary was the first day, I felt a little like The Mad Hatter, kind of orange and curly, but I've since grown to love it. Red is my favorite color ya know!

OK, I know that this is kind of funny, because you clearly are brunette in all of your photos...but I've always thought of you as a red head! Must be my general impression of redheads as being creative people :)

Love it!! I'm on the verge of a color change myself, apart from the gray-ish one Mother Nature seems determined to give me. :)
