Ribbon as cake. That would certainly take out the calories.
Cake, cake, cake....I'm thinking of cake. But, its a no no. I'm trying a new "lifestyle" of no carbs and low sugah! And while its at times, not the easiest thing in the world, I'm seeing results and that makes me happy.
Even as happy as having a piece of cake I guess.
Or maybe I've just been looking at the Alice in Wonderland page on FB too long today. Or the heat has just gotten to me. And I do have some new ribbon in.
This one is so great! When I saw it at Market, it reminded me of the lawn chairs we used to sit in as kids...you know, where the webbing always stuck to the back of your thighs? But this is a loosely, woven jute and its organic. I feel in love with it. And it looked so stinkin cute with this:
I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of the heat. I just need to buck it up, cause I'm sure we are looking at some 100 degree temps for August. Ahhhh, but I can dream of snowflakes, can't I?
And pearls! Creamy, white, cool pearls. On silver wire no less. This was another cool market find. Lots of possibilities with this one. Yeah. Don't you think?
And this! Cool, creamy, ribbon. Soft like seam binding and just a little crinkl-ie. Yum. And Mama can't wait to play and try to coffee dye this stuff. Fun, fun.
All of these new ribbons are now in my Etsy shop. And I've restocked some old favorites as well. So get out of the heat and come in a take a look. And we could talk abut cake! :D

PS...Wicked Tea is in the woicks!!!! Go here to see the rockin classes! They are so freakin cool, heck, I can't wait!!!!! And you know by October, its got to be in the 80's by then...whoo hoo, Fall in Texas. LOL.
Love all that yummy ribbon and even better, no calories! The frenchy crinkle is my fave!
xo,
Debra

How do explain a crafters love of ribbon to a non crafter? There are so many pretty colors and patterns! Good luck with the new life style, you are already seeing the results. That is great!

I'm a nut for ribbon, and your descriptions make it sound so tempting.....I would purchase some if I didn't have a stockpile already. I'm sure your new offerings will sell quickly, even without my help!

The pearl trim is awesome- I've got to think of how I can use it! I'll have to check out your etsy shop to see what other goodies you have!

[not sure my comment posted a second ago...so here it is again.]
I seem to have collected more ribbon than any human could ever use! Cake might be a nice option for me.

P.S. I've been AWOL so long I can barely remember my blog password! Hope you are well, friend.

Had to visit " yapping cat" (we have four) and I too am trying soooo hard to cut down on the carbs and sugar and here you are talking about cake. Okay, it is beautiful ribbon cake but it makes me really want cake cake. Instead I'm gonna go visit my ribbon stash....

OH! Those pearls are YUMMY! I'm going to have to check out your ETSY shop.....like I really need any more ribbon, but it's kind of hard to not have a "bite" of something new and yummy. :D
I agree......is it hot enough around here in DFW or what? August is sure to continue with the 100 degree weather. Drink lots of iced tea and don't move too fast. Isn't that what our southern ancestors did in the dead of summer? :D
