I am at a loss for words today, and was'nt sure what I would write, but another has done it so more eloquently than I, that I'm going to direct you over to her blog. Dale was one of our original Paper Cowgirls and getting to know her, was one of the best rewards of putting together that first retreat. She has said exactly what I would like to express, only probably about 1500 times better than I would have.
When I lost my Mom (hard to believe two years ago this month AND also to metastasized colon cancer), I was so afraid to move forward and it was very painful for several months. Here on the blog, I do like to be all sunshine and cupcakes. And for that reason, I did not share it with you all, but I can tell you it was very hard to take that first tiny step of getting back to my life. But we must. And if you will take a moment to read the wonderful words at Sea Dream Studio, by our own Cowgirl Dale, I think you will be blessed.
I want to thank you all for your kind words, long-distance hugs and prayers. It has been a great comfort to me to know that you all care as much as I did over losing this wonderful gal. And your words have been a comfort to me as well.
My bio line says it best, mine is an ordinary life, made more colorful by the people and things that touch it every day. There are those that joke about blog friends being "imaginary" friends, but I know, that is just not true. Thank you all for making my life more colorful.
Love you guys.
hugs,
-c
you are so right, love ya too!

Oh Cindy,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. I know no words can make it right or lessen your sorrow but know that we love you and feel for you at this time of difficulty.
Kindredly, Lynne Laura

Cindy, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. These are the moments when words escape me. I don't think you need me to tell how blessed you were to have had such a dear person in your life...some people go through day to day and never make that kind of connection. I will keep her family and you in my prayers. And for what it's worth...I think you live an extrordianry life surrounded by the gift of seeing and creating beauty where ever it is.

Cindy, I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet friend. I don't think I had it connected that you and Jan from Polkadot Barn each knew Tina. It is so awful that the whole world keeps going when you have lost someone. I think it should stop for a while as you are grieving.
We too, have lost a friend to cancer. Her diagnosis came at Thanksgiving and she was gone by Dec. 27. The family is in complete shock, as is our community.
Well. Hugs and love to you.

I know we tend to want to be all sunshine and cupcakes, and that is a wonderful concept. But life just isn't that way. When you need us, we'll be here. Nothing imaginary about that, huh?
