Much like Macaulay Culkin, in the first Home Alone movie, I really do feel like slapping my face and screaming, "aaarrrggghhh". Seriously.
I love this season, I really do. But if I could just find a tee that reads, "Bah Humbug" I would cheerfully don that grumpy apparel. And wear it proudly.
Why you ask? Well, It just seems to me that people are at their rudest, most selfish and ugliest at a time when we should be more considerate, loving and caring. Pushing and shoving, especially at an event that should be somewhat reverent. But alas, what's a girl to do? But complain for a moment to you all and then move on with life.
I'm on the home stretch in decorating. Good thing too, eh? Yeah. As I've told you before, time management, not a strong point for me. I'll show you a couple of pics tomorrow, cause I do have a fun table setting and then we will move on. :D
But I'm still crafting, even though I'm jonesing (do we still use that word or is it passe' now?) to begin Valentine play.
A few last things are going into Etsy . I'll be shipping this week and then I think I'll take a short vaca on the shop (and maybe the blog as well) till after the big day.
I put together another little kit, Winter White. I was tempted to keep for myself, but ehh. I need cash. LOL.
These vintage (I assume) glass paperweights were one of the coolest finds at the last estate sale. An old photo or artwork would look cool underneath.
Never used, vintage cards. Above are flocked.
And who could resist these faces? Great graphics on these two tiny reindeer. All on my Etsy.
Well, I'm off to run in circles and wave my hands and scream some more. :D
(in a whisper)...not really, I'm going to go watch White Christmas and drink some hot chocolate!)
Happy Sunday!
Which is why I don't go out much, I suppose. I find that people are like that most or all of the year. I'm an order online sort of person. I go out maybe twice per week. I like my own company and my pets and my gardens. And all those rude folks with their blaring cell phone ringtones and loud chitchat can go, well, you know very well where! I'm staying at home.

forgot to ask...how big are those reindeer?
Posted by: bob cratchet | December 13, 2009 at 08:41 PM
They are pretty good size....maybe about 3-1/2 tall and about 3 long...Im guessing....but a little larger than my hand.....not so tiny I guess....

Don't kid yourself...some people are rude all year long...just more noticeable this time of year when we expect more from folks.
Thank goodness for the one who smiles and says excuse me or I wouldn't ever go out.

Cindy, those two paper weights are vintage, I'm sure. I've got about eight of those, in various shapes, that I've been saving for a special project. I want to use them for mini collages, maybe using images of Kewpies and other cuties.
