I've been absorbed in making mini albums the past few days. Here's just a few of the ones that I've been working on. This is a Cheerleader book for a local Mom for her daughter. (Click on pics to make bigger).
I love doing the little cheer books. I always want them to look like a "football mum on paper". LOL. You know, lots of ribbons, doo-dads and bells.
This one has fun pockets and little plastic bits added in.
I hope the Mom likes it for her daughter.
I've also been working on this one as well. I thought the "it's all about ME!" stickers were a hoot and I wanted to do something fun and bright with them.
I scrap lifted Candice Carpenter's cute use of a cupcake liner. Loved this one I found at the Lob....it looks like Pink Toile.
The sticker's looked like they had been "doodled on" and I took that idea and ran with it, doodling and scribbling whereever it seemed to need it.
And I love the way the colors came together. All bright and saturated. Reminds me of Candied Orange Slices, Blue Lemonade, and Cotton Candy with just a little bit of Black Licorice thrown in to keep it all from being too sweet. Man, I'm hungry now.
On the photo above, I left spaces under the stickers so the photo could be tucked under.
That black transparency (on the left) is actually a small oval "page" that can go on either side. Just seemed like a fun t hing to do.
Since I've been playing with kits, I thought I would try my hand at a book kit. So, that is actually what this one is. Well, it's a book and then I also made a kit with the same components. Well, that's clear as mud huh.
I should have started in the middle...cause I liked it more as I went along. Then looking back, I was unhappy with the cover. Boo. Should have done it last. Oh well, next time.
And see the little heart and wings...that's actually just a pocket that acts as a page. It has a huge oversized tag with a smaller one on top. There is a feather smooshed under the heart and wings. These two are my favorite pages.
This is the backside of the pocket and oversized tag (on the left). The big tag comes out completely and could be used for a photo or journaling. Pink and Royal Blue are always such a happy combo. To me anyway.
I like the little chunky-dunky look of it from the side. All fat and full. Looks so cute that way. If only that applied to my body. That would be good indeed. LOL.
Thanks for looking. I hope to get the book kit up on my G&G on Friday.
Happy Thursday.
I've been wanting to make some books, too- the "chunky dunk" kind like yours- love how you put it all together with some many layers and surprises.

Looks to me like you got them just right...full of cute things! I love them, especially the second one. So colorful and so much to look at.
Well, looks like you have been very busy.
Oh, maybe I should do a little scrap lifting...I need some fresh ideas!

Hi Cindy,
Thanks so much for the sweet comments. My daughter would have loved this cheerleading album when she was a cheerleader in High School. How great both of these are.
You have been a busy bee!!
Hope you have a great weekend!

I love these books. It would be cool to make the cheerleader book into an inspiration journal.
