Now becomes the great dash. The dash to buy gifts, decorate, plan, buy food and all the while enjoy. Seems like a catch-22 does'nt it? And for me, being too stupid to begin actually making stuff back in July, well, I can add that to my to do list as well. Yep. A catch-22 indeed.
Oh well. Such is life for the procrastinator (again, read my name here). Anyway, too much ham and dressing. I think my brain is clogged this morning.
And even though I like to "bah! humbug" about never having enough time to enjoy everything. I usually manage at some point to find delight in the lights. Breathe in the frosty, cold air and enjoy a cup of cinnamon laced hot cocoa. And have a grin or two, finding the joy and wonder in the season.
And did I have had a great time making these little houses.
These are the colors I want my "real" house painted in.
I think I'd like to make these all year long.
If so, who knows. I could actually be caught up by next Christmas. LOL.
New stuff on Etsy And on Glitter and Grunge (click on button on right, go to artist page and click on my name at the bottom of the page).
Let's let the dashing begin.
Those little houses are adorable. Love the silver bells in the tart pans. You are so clever

Beautiful houses. It is like being a kid again and using all the pretty colors. Who wants to be practical! I think most crafters are in the same boat, I know I am. It is like we have no idea that Christmas is on the same day every year!

All your stuff looks so good. I just love your little houses. I went and bought some and the glitter snow, but haven't made any yet. Too busy makin' other stuff. I love the dash, but I'm always glad when I'm done figuratively or otherwise! :)

Oh wow, Cindy! These bring back memories...my mom had a set of house sort of like this, when I was a kid. Beautiful handiwork!

you know....I just love your lettering. And the houses all have their own unique personality. I was just looking and wondering which house looked more like a house for Sam. He would love a house. I guess I need to make a trip to the store!

Hey Cindy. I was just showing my mom your cute houses and she just realized these are the same house she bought yesterday. Where did you get the miniature white trees and wreaths or are they vintage. We have the miniature green ones from Hobby Lobby but love the creamy white ones. Also...one color paint did you use for the body of the creamy-yellow house! lots of questions!!! ha!

I just found your blog, I love it!
And your little houses are adorable, I have been collecting little vintage cardboard houses for years. Thanks for sharing yours.
