Remember that cheezy tune from the 80's..."I wanna be a cowboy"? And I think his name was Ted or something like that. It was an annoying song. And yet, one of those tunes that once it's stuck in your head, well, dang..you'll be humming it all day. Unfornunately.
And even though I'm Texas born and bred, I'm really just a big, ol' City Slicker. Used to marvel at my country cousins when I was a kid. They had horses, a barn and hay. It was a novelty for sure. To me and my brother anyway.
But also, since Paper Cowgirl is just around the corner, I guess my thoughts keep being of, well, all things cowgirl.
This little journal turned out nicely.
And then onto tags.
And one more tag.
This is my favorite tag though. I found a cool new calligraphy book and I've been playing with a new font called "Copper Plate". I think I'm going to have to get a real calligraphy pen though. I did this one with a brush tip and you can't see the varying letter widths good enough. Love that old Daisy D paper though.
A cute little photo album. It's perfect for that little buckaroo. Or Big Buckaroo.
This is one of my favorite pages. I so totally scrap lifted the idea of the inserting a transparency in between the pages from Brooke. I love that.
Here it is flipped to the other side. Such a fun idea and just adds another dimension to the little book.
I did like the way these two turned out as well. The little tag (with the horse on it) has a space on the back to jot what your little buckaroo's fav song to hum, strum or sing to is. And I rigged the red fame so that I photo can be slid into it, rather than just placed on top. So it will have a more custom look.
Just a little close up off the page on the left. A spot to jot the name of that tune. Hopefully it's not, "I wanna be a Cowboy". LOL.
Well, cowpokes...time for me to hit the hay. Tomorrow is another day. And it's a Monday. Till then....I'll just say Happy Trails...to you.
Fun pages and tags, cowgirl!
