My magazine spending has been greatly curtailed (which in all honesty is most likely a good thing).  However.  I could not stand to pass this one up today.

So awesomely pretty! 

And look!  Our own little Paper Cowgirl (Teacher 2009), Ann Denise, is in here!  Congrats on the magazine gurl!  She's so very talented and sweet to boot.  And speaking of boots, you might remeber that she did these:

Another fave was this great article from my bloggy friend, Cat!  I've been a huge fan of hers ever since I purchased her book, Art from the Heart.  It's a great how-to, lots of beautiful projects.

Equally adorable, this fabric book.  And I've been a huge fan of Norma's for quite some time now.  She should have a blog too!  She used to post a lot on an art website, that sadly I've forgotten the name and the link.   Boo.

The Scream

No.  Not Edvard Munche's.  Mine.  Heard around the world.  OK, really mostly heard just around town.  Or to be honest, just in Hastings book store. 

It happened when I spotted this.

 

Ohmygosh...those are mine!  I made those!  Eeekkkk. 

As I mentioned about a month ago, I had some exciting news to share.  Well, this is it! 

 

It's been about 9 months in the the making, (wow, as long as a pregnancy, but thank goodness no morning sickness or cravings).  And I still can't believe it really happened. 

Ann and the staff over at Holiday Crafts (a Better Homes and Gardens Special Edition) were just adorable to work with.  And they made my little village truly look amazing!  And while I didn't make the cover...

 

...it was pret-ty dang cool to make the editorial page.  So, many thanks again to Ann and the gals at HC, as I am positively stupid-giddy.  Someone should probably slap me.  I think I have told almost everyone in town, friends and strangers alike.  I think the book store employee muttered something under his breath, along the lines of, "someone forgot to take their meds today", as I excitedly showed him the pages...ALL of em..  All the while, babbling hysterically, "that's me", that's me".  As I said, someone should probably slap me.  And I think the staff at work are already lining up to do just that.  They have threatened, er uhm promised, they won't let my head get to big.   

 

But it is heady.  Heady stuff indeed!

And while we are letting "yapping" cats out of the bag, I'll whisper one more secret to you.  There is another magazine issue coming out just around the corner.  Sometime in September I think.  And I'm honored to be in the same issue as this gal.
