Finally here. And before I head out to get another bag of candy (to replace one of the ones "we" have already eaten), set out the luminaries, and hang the pumpkin tins, I thought I would show you what has captivated my time this week.
I could not stand it. I wanted to make one more little book for Halloween. And wouldn't you know it...I fell into that little weird space, where it took waaaaaay longer than I expected, to finish. I think Karin at Creative Chaos called it "art dog years" or something like that. LOL. You know...you think it will be one hour and it turns out to be seven. That's me in a nutshell.
Anyway. Here's my little book.
Like I said...I mixed papers. Even using a piece that was originally for a calendar project. The cat at the top (of the left hand page) is actually a tag that can be removed and written on. The old watch face (ack! it's midnight!), LOL, and he poison sticker are vintage things.
And how do you know I'm batty about you?...
She was actually a ring, that Sis had tossed into my scrap bucket last time we were together. I stole a page out of Dee Dee's book (well, not literally) and cut off the "ring" part and decided to use that pretty spider here. (Kinda like Dee Dee did with the wand).
Loved this "ribbon". Got it at a wholesale place up in Dallas (that is sadly, no longer there). It's almost like licorice in feel. Thought it was too much fun.
This little tag (on the front) echos the spider theme on the back page. You can't see it but she has a tiny bit of red glitter on her back.
Well, that's my little Halloween book. Hope you have a fun day today and get lots of candy tonight and maybe even a scare! Not enough to need the "depends" scare...but just a little shiver up the spine or two!
I'm off to light the luminaries and eat, er uhm, pass out the little candy bars!
